Powerhand Doubles VRS Warranty to Two Years

The new Powerhand VRS warranty reflects confidence in build quality and support

We’re pleased to announce that all models in the Vehicle Recycling System (VRS) car dismantling range will now come with a standard two-year warranty, replacing the previous one-year coverage. This applies to units dispatched on or after 1 July 2025 in the UK.

Designed and manufactured at Powerhand’s facility in Dumfries, the VRS range includes the VRS140 (for 14–18 tonne machines), VRS180 (16–20 tonnes) and VRS200 (20–25 tonnes). Each excavator-mounted car dismantler combines a precision dexterity grapple and clamp legs that hold vehicles securely during dismantling.

The VRS200 features a dexterity grapple with integrated shear, and clamp legs that open and close to process engines and gearboxes, while also raising and lowering to grip vehicle bodies firmly in place. All Powerhand VRS models are constructed from high-strength Swedish alloy steel to ensure consistent performance in demanding scrapyard and vehicle recycling environments. The slender grapple design provides a clear line of sight, allowing operators to extract valuable components including copper wiring looms, engines, axles and suspension parts with precision and speed.
