VRS180 - The latest in the Powerhand range of machine-based vehicle dismantling technology!
Traditional manual methods of removing high value materials from end-of-life cars and vehicles can be labour intensive and costly, in many cases making the process economically unviable. Although a four-tine scrap grab will allow extraction of the engine, much of the added value materials are left behind, resulting in the end of life vehicle dismantler missing out on great potential profit.
Like a vulture would dissect its prey, the VRS clamp arms pin down the vehicle to allow the grapple to systematically pull the valuable materials away from the lower value vehicle body shell.
The Powerhand VRS is the ultimate combination of power and dexterity. The grapple features a slender, plier-like shape providing an unbroken line of sight from the operator to the vehicle, allowing valuable materials such as the copper wiring loom to be extracted from even the tightest of areas. High power hydraulic cylinders and high speed rotation unit gives the VRS the power to effortlessly dissect the vehicle.
We understand that in a demanding, fast paced industry, productivity is paramount. That is why the VRS is built to work, all day, every day. Manufactured 100% from high strength Swedish alloy steels so that you can maximise your profits without the worry of downtime.
Copper WIRE EXTRACTION
Much of the value in an ELV is often hidden in the copper wiring loom
The Powerhand VRS 180 allows easy extraction of the copper wiring loom from a vehicle. The slender design, plier like grapple, creates a straight line of sight from the operator to the vehicle, making wire extraction from the tightest of spaces an effortless task.
The high speed vane motor rotator on the VRS180 grapple means wiring looms can be twisted up like a rope, making the loom stronger and making it possible for more of the loom to be extracted.
Use the multi-tool on the VRS clamp legs to remove unwanted plugs from the wiring loom, leaving only the high value wiring to be recycled.
Axle and suspension component removal
Extra profit from extraction of heavy steel axles and suspension
Pin the vehicle down with the clamp legs and use the VRS180 dismantling grapple to pull the axle and suspension components from the lower value vehicle shell.
Out with the engine
Engine removal is a simple task when the VRS180's precision and power is unleashed
The slender plier-like legs of the VRS180 grapple make it perfect for seeing into the engine bay to perfectly place the legs around the engine and pull it out in only a few seconds.
- Hold down and clamp vehicles using the machine mounted clamp arms.
- Robust enough to handle heavy materials, yet the nimble jaws of the grapple allow easy removal of wiring looms, starter motors, and alternators. Once the valuable wiring loom has been removed, use the multi-tool to strip off any unwanted electrical components.
- Independent clamp leg movement.
- High speed rotation unit
- Manufactured from high strength Swedish alloy steel.
