POWERHAND cs series

Powerhand CS Clamshell loose material handler and light digging

The CS series clamshell has been specifically designed for use on the railway. Optimised in design for the needs and wants of operators on the track. Perfect for loose material handling and strong enough to withstand the downward pressure of light digging operations.

We understand that height is critical in an environment that often works under overhead cables. That is why the CS series has not only optimal capacity to height proportions, but is also available with an optional sunken quick change coupler system which allows rapid changeover of attachments, while maintaining a compact height.

Capacity ranges from 0.5m² to 0.75m²

Anti shatter g6 plates

Unique sides plates for a specific job

G6 ballast is commonly used on the UK railway. It is also prone to dangerously shattering when clamped in the traditional straight sides plates of a clamshell bucket. The Powerhand CS series is available with optional G6 Anti Shatter side plates.

Formed from high strength steel to minimise wear, the side plates are jagged in design to allow G6 ballast to be handled without being shattered. Normal “closed” side plates can be easily refitted for normal applications

A must have in the heavily regulated Rail industry!

powerhand from concept to creation

CONCEPT TO CREATION

Like all Powerhand products the CS series is designed and built in house

We understand that the only way to guarantee the best quality is to control the whole process. That is why, from design to manufacture, we complete 100% in our factory in Scotland.

We are proud to never be satisfied and are constantly seeking to improve our concepts and to be at the forefront of manufacturing technology.

We have developed and refined our attachments over 30 years in collaboration with many of the industries' leading users, with the aim of delivering you the ultimate end product and customer experience.

world class Rotations

World leading attachments require world leading rotators... that is why we use Indexator rotators to partner our Powerhand attachments

We think of our attachments as the hand at the end of the machine boom. The rotator, its the wrist. For unbeatable completion of the task and minimal downtime, both must be of the highest quality.

Powerhand has established a close working relationship with Indexator over the last 30 years, who lead the world in rotator design, manufacturing the widest range of rotator products. They employ the most advanced design and manufacturing systems available, with industry leading testing systems being used to rigorously test components after final assembly. All to ensure the most durable rotators possible are created!

The CS series is fitted with Indexators GV series rotators as standard.

Final Link in the chain

Often an afterthought in 'end of arm' attachment assemblies, the rotator to boom connection link plays a very important role.

We are proud to offer the whole 'end of arm' package. From attachment, to rotator and link. Powerhand offers a range of industrial excavator and material handler links for a wide array of machines and applications.

Links are available as standard, swing dampening or for fix mount applications. We also offer the service of creating a link to your bespoke order. For any machine, for any application, we can manufacture a link to your specification.
